University of Montana Files IND for Chronic Cough Research

As reported by KPVI 6, Keila Szpaller writes the University of Montana’s Laurie Slovarp successfully submited an investigatory new drug application to the FDA.  With the recent approval, Slovarp will study whether a molecule found in chili peppers can help patients with the worst coughs. She is one of the first faculty members to submit an IND.  Slovarp will launch the study in April 2019 with the help of Sarjubhai Patel, Skaggs School of Pharmacy of the College of Health Professions and Biomedical Sciences.
