University of Montana Earns $24 Million from NIH for Translational Research Efforts

Keila Szpaller writing for the Missoulian, reports that the University of Missoula disease treatment center received $22.4 million from the National Institutes for Health. Teams at the University of Missoula set up the Center for Translational Medicine. This was set up after global pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline announced a move out of the state. The translational medicine center team, valuing the incredible quality of life the State of Montana has to offer, negotiated contracts with the University of Montana.
