Reuters reported that the cost of insulin for treating type 1 diabetes in the U.S. has nearly doubled over a five-period according to a new analysis by nonprofit Health Care Cost Institute (HCCI). Reuters noted that the increases are putting some patients at risk. The price for one person with type 1 diabetes has grown rom $2,864 in 2012 to $5,705 in 2016.
