Nipissing University Researchers Rare Forms of Dementia


In collaboration with University College London and Bangor University (Wales) as well as a local community partnership with the Alzheimer Society Sudbury-Manitoulin North Bay & Districts, Nipissing University is researching dementia.  The group has received a grant for over $6 million from the National Institute for Health Research as well as the Economic and Social Research Council. Thus far Nipissing University has received over $600,000 in total.

Nipissing University, based in North Bay, Ontario, Canada, overlooks Lake Nipissing. They have an active research department.  This specific collaborative study will examine what are effective supports for people living with rare forms of dementia.
