NHLBI Study Finds Biologic Drugs May Prevent Heart Disease in Patients with Severe Psoriasis

The National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (part of the National Institutes of Health) reports that an anti-inflammatory drug commonly used to treat severe psoriasis also improve plaque in the coronary artery making them more stable and less likely to cause heart attack.  Follow the Specialty Pharmacy Times link for more details.
