NFL football is committed to finding cancer cures and the Atlanta Falcons pledged an annual donation of $200,000 to Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University and Winship at Emory’s Crucial Catch partnership.

The Crucial Catch Partnership

The Falcons partnered with Winship at Emory in October to intercept cancer through “Crucial Catch” an NFL initiative that encourages early detection and risk reduction efforts for multiple types of cancer through education as well as donations to Winship at Emory’s research programs.

The NFL though the Crucial Catch initiative has sought to make cancer awareness a priority. This year’s Crucial Catch game, on October 20, 2019, when the Falcons hosted the Los Angeles Rams. Winship cancer survivors and their families were recognized on the field for their triumph in their fight against cancer.
