Seacoast Online reports on the growing “Granite State” biomedical technology industry leading to the creation of a new industry group called BioMed/Tech. Created by the N.H. Tech Alliance, it is a wide-ranging organization that encompasses a variety of technology fields, from information technology to energy and biotech. The BioMed/Tech group was created two years ago according to co-chair Cynthia Conde.
With 300+ biomed companies now in New Hampshire, it is time to emphasize and facilitate the industry’s growth in the state. Co-Chair John Whelan noted that many of the companies within the state don’t know about each other. With an industry group the connections can now be made so Granite State ventures can partner and leverage each other in a more efficient and effective way.
The group recently met at New Hampshire-based Lonza Biologics facility at Pease International Tradeport.
