Researchers at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) have developed a method for diabetes to administer insulin orally—creating the potential for a future where painful needles will not be needed. The size of a blueberry, the new pill can align itself on the tissue of the most gastrointestinal tract and deploy a tiny needle—also know by the research as a “millipost” which will deliver the insulin.
