MD Anderson Inks a strategic partnership with Poland memorializing an agreement to share new technologies in cancer treatment. The deal was signed by Polish Minister of Health Lukasz Szumowski and MD Anderson of University of Texas.
Polish President Andrzej Duda and his wife were present at the signing ceremony—he noted “There is no doubt that the MD Anderson Cancer Center is one of the most important partners in the world, with whom we want to battle this terrible scourge, which are oncological diseases.” Combatting cancer, he emphasized, will be “one of the most important challenges for civilization in the next decades when it comes to healthcare.”
It is anticipated that Polish patients and professionals will greatly benefit from the collaborative agreement. MD Anderson is recognized by a country as being one of the elite academic medical research centers and cancer focused hospitals in the world.
