Investment in Medical Infrastructure Bolstering China’s World Position

The South China Morning Post reports that Mainland China has devoted 2.13 percent of its world’s second largest GDP to research and development in 2017—up from .8 percent in 1999.  Hong Kong specifically is noticing a marked improvement in facilities and research on the mainland. The mainland has rapidly developed a medical infrastructure in a reversal of roles with Hong Kong.
