Brian Sodoma reports for UNLV News about Dr. Charles Bernick, a leading investigator, focused on Alzheimer’s disease in Nevada.  Bernick has been involved in the field of Alzheimer’s disease research and treatment for nearly 20 years, beginning as the attending neurologist for the Alzheimer’s Disease Diagnostic and Treatment Center at the University of California, Davis.

Since joining the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health in 2009, he has guided the Professional Fighters Brain Health study, which is aimed at understanding the effects of cumulative head trauma on brain structure and function.
