Hong Kong Greater Bay Area Boosting Biotech Presence

The South China Morning Post reports that the central government recently chartered a blueprint for the development of Greater Bay Area (GBA) that will economically integrate Hong Kong, Macau, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and neighboring cities to maximize economic synergies and growth. Chinese central planners seek to implement policies and regulations to enhance the management of cross-boundary use of bio-samples and medical data necessary for R&D cooperation and projects between universities, R&D institutes, labs and sponsors in the GBA.
