Emory University Synergy Awardees: Its About Partnership in COVID-19 Research

The Woodruff Health Sciences Center (WHSC) at Emory University recently named its latest Synergy Award winners: all ten selected projects involve COVID-19 research. Supporting joint projects from the Emory University School of Medicine, Rollins School of Public Health, Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing, Yerkes National Primate Research Center, Winship Cancer Institute, and other units, the awards acknowledged collaboration as a critical underlying element for scientific research success while overall highlighting the strengths of research at Emory.

The results were published by Emory University, and TrialSite includes the ten selected proposals and their investigators below. But first, a little more on the Woodruff Health Sciences Center. With $4.5 billion in operating expenditures and 31,557 employees, the center reportedly adds $8.8 billion economic impact to metropolitan Atlanta.
