Egypt Health Minister Reports Country Obtains International Accreditation to Produce Medicines

Ahram Online reports that Hala Zayed declared Egypt has obtained an international accreditation to produce a number of medicines.  Ms. Zayed was quoted in the Ahram Online, saying “We have undertaken serious steps to start manufacturing cancer medicines, as well as unifying the registration procedures in Africa for medicines.” The minister spoke during a session on health care and scientific research at the Arab and African Youth Forum in Aswan.  Additionally, they are seeking to produce 300,000 liters of plasma and its derivatives.
