Julie Stewart writing for University of Delaware Daily reports that the University of Delaware has joined DRIVEN, a new National Institutes of Health (NIH) funded accelerator hub for medical entrepreneurship. With a $3.5 million start, money will seed new start-ups seeking to extend and improve the quality of lives.  Ms. Stewart reports that the new hub includes the following participants to date:

  • Celdara Medical University of Vermont
  • Brown University
  • Dartmouth College
  • Main Medical Center
  • Mount Desert Island Biological Laboratory
  • University of New Hampshire
  • University of Rhode Island
  • Simbex (medical device company)
  • University of Delaware
