Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center (RPCCC) has selected Circuit Clinical™ to support the expansion of clinical trial activities to its outpatient oncology practices. Circuit Clinical is an integrated research organization dedicated to support the emergence of the clinical research as a care option model. Its first entrance into oncology research, they will infuse their digital and clinical services into RPCCC. Its services include its’ patient platform TrialScout™ as well as research operational support—both to support RPCCC’s groundbreaking CIMAvax-EGF Clinical Trial. Circuit Clinical will provide patient identification services, engagement, enrollment and ongoing patient experience support services under the direction of the RPCCC clinical research leadership team.
RPCCC is the only National Cancer Institute designated comprehensive cancer center in Upstate New York. It includes a main campus as well as satellite offices and five affiliated community practices. Through this collaboration, eligible patients with certain forms of lung and head/neck cancer can participate in the CIMAVax Clinical Trial.
This deal reflects a form of the emerging clinical research as a care option emerging around the nation. IN this model research institutions embrace traditional community care centers, clinics or even FQHCs and offer clinical research as care options. Often a third party turnkey service provider will support the facilitation of the process, providing patient recruitment and engagement, compliance services, etc.
Circuit Clinical was founded in 2015 on the experiences of a physician conducting clinical research in his busy private practice. From the core belief that patients prefer to learn about clinical research from healthcare providers they trust, came the vision for Circuit Clinical. Over the past few years they have developed one of the largest Integrated Research Organizations (IRO) in the United States.
Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center was founded in 1898. It is a cancer research and treatment center and a New York State public-benefit corporation located in Buffalo, NY. The RPCCC campus is spread out over 15 buildings of approximately two million square feet.
