University of Utah and University of Washington researchers have published a study indicating that Paclitaxel, a cancer drug, may be useful in mitigating the effects of traumatic brain injuries, according to an article in KSL Utah. While undertaking preclinical research with mice, the university collaboration found that the FDA-approved cancer drug helped with traumatic brain injuries. Bristol-Myers Squibb developed the drug.
