WAFF reports that the Alabama Public Health Department is warning consumers to be very careful with CBD products. Presently, it is reported that the FDA has only approved one drug containing CBD after clinical trials found it reduced seizures last year. Dr. Scott Harris, State Health Director, reports that “there are many products that are being sold in all sorts of stores around the state and country that are claiming to be CBD and yet the contents of that has not really been inspected by anyone or verified by anyone.” CBD products are on the rise around the country, but as they are unregulated, many products could be unsafe.
