The expansion includes 30,000 square feet of research space. This will increase Barrow’s research capacity by 50%. Known as the Neuroplex, it will function as a nexus for outpatient clinics for neurosurgical, epilepsy, neuro-oncology and endocrinology clinics. Moreover, the new facilities will house an ambulatory surgical center and outpatient surgical suites for advanced, less invasive outpatient surgeries. It will open in 2020.

A Leading Research Institution

TrialSite NewsDaniel O’Connor presented to the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA) at the Barrow Neurological Institute in downtown Phoenix. Our team was highly impressed with the facilities, staff and the impact they are having locally and beyond. We even met some patients involved with cutting-edge brain cancer research making them a leader in the U.S. for brain tumor research. One cancer patient we spoke with felt incredibly positive about her experience with Dr. Nader Sanai who is a leading brain cancer investigator.

The Ben and Catherine Ivy Foundation felt so strongly about Barrow Neurological Institute and their leading neurological oncologist Dr. Nader Sanai that we reported the $50 million grant to focus on brain cancer outcomes.

Call to Action: If you live anywhere near Phoenix and face neurological challenges, the Barrow Neurological Institute should be considered.
