TrialSite News is proud to be a partner to the Alliance for Clinical Research Excellence and Safety (ACRES). That collaborative institution established the Site Accreditation and Standards Initiative (SASI) which over the past few years has worked, intensely and in a collaborative manner, to develop the first comprehensive, systems-based approach to clinical research site accreditation. This effort has culminated in the formation of a public benefit corporation, ACRES ReServ, to commercialize the accreditation standard worldwide. The New England Journal of Medicine article merits careful review. Other accreditations and certifications exist, however a comprehensive standard to baseline exponential levels of performance, quality and safety can result in incredibly powerful outcomes.
