IQVIA Introduces Regulatory Information Management System


IQVIA, the result of the global merger of tier-1 CRO Quintiles and information services conglomerate IMS reports the announcement of their new IQVIA RIM Smart, purported to be a delivery intelligent interconnected global management system across the complete portfolio and regulatory lifecycle. Purported to include “artificial intelligence” and machine learning the system’s owners state “RIM Smart automates high-volume tasks, efficiently boosting accuracy, improving data quality, and reducing costs.” IQVIA touts that the system seamlessly integrates content management, registration tracking, monitoring of health authority interactions and commitments, submission planning, publishing and soon product labeling and translation capabilities.  Back in 2018, IQVIA announced a content management solution partnership with cloud collaboration provider Box undoubtedly to compete against industry juggernaut Veeva.
